Q1. How many EV charger models currently Shell offers?
A1: We have TWO models: 32A, 40A. Difference between the two models: Higher current 40A model, shorter the charging time.
Input voltage: Level 1, 110V ~ 120V; Level 2, 220V ~ 240V. Comparing with traditional charger 16A, our 40A EV charger 7 times faster than normal EV charger.
Q2. Is it compatible with all EVs?
A2: SAE J1772 charging adaptor is compatible with most of the EVs, and it's also applicable to Tesla charging with the additional J1772-to-Tesla adapter.
Q3. Can the charging current be adjusted?
A3: The charging current can be adjusted with either "auto" or "manual" mode.
Q4. What's the difference between auto mode and manual mode on the current adjustment?
A4: Smart Mode: simple and direct, to maximize the output, shorten charging time.
Manual Mode: customized constant current, longer charging time, better battery life.
Q5. Will it stop charging when the battery is already 100%?
A5: The charging will automatically cut-off the power when battery is fully charged.
Q6. Can I make the schedule for charging?
A6: Yes, you can schedule the start or finish time.
With the charging schedule at off-peak period, you could maximize the saving on electricity cost.
